Overview
Eating well plays a critical role in keeping sport fun, more so for highly active children. Consuming enough water and other fluids is key t o optimal performance in sport. Most children do not consume sufficient fluids throughout the day, as they are playing during breaktime (as we all know, not even eating their packed lunches!) and they do not always recognise thirst. They start their afternoon sport activities already dehydrated! This happens easily, especially in the warm South African climate.
Electrolytes
Electrolytes are essential minerals to help your kid stay hydrated. These minerals help balance the optimal amount of fluids inside the body and help to regulate important biological functions, ranging from muscle contraction to nerve activity.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an antioxidant &supports the immune system. Vitamin C also helps with the development and maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth and gums.

Carbohydrate
Carbohydrate may increase exercise performance, endurance and provides energy. Carbohydrate also facilitates nutrient transportation and absorption in the body. The added carbohydrate mix also contributes to the palatability and greater consumption of the sports drink.
Vitamin D, Calcium, Zinc & Magnesium
Vitamin D and Calcium help in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth. Calcium intake, when combined with sufficient vitamin D, a healthy diet and regular exercise, may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis. Zinc supports the immune function and Magnesium contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
RECOMMENDED USE: Encourage your child ot start sipping the KDI. Sports Drink as soon as the warming up session begins. Drink on a regular basis, ideally a few sips every 15 ot 20 minutes, especially during activities lasting longer than an hour. Can be alternated with water or KDI. Zero Sugar Sports Drink.
